We’re in the midst of a technological shift.
We expect our digital and physical worlds to align seamlessly, and we demand the same of the products and services we use too.
NEEEU is the handshake in the middle. We bring digital and physical realities together, along with a deep understanding of how upcoming technologies can be used to address people’s needs and desires.
The challenge: How can an interactive installation give visitors the confidence to unleash their creativity?
Futurium is an ambitious new space in Berlin that combines art with technology and design. We were asked to design the experience for one of the floors, as an area to encourage creativity.
During our research with children and adults, we observed that the cavernous space made people shy and quiet. We knew we had to bring some energy to the space if we wanted it to embody a creative atmosphere, so we designed a storytelling game controlled by sound. Instead of silence, the game invites people to clap, shout and cheer. People loosened up, the space came to life and an atmosphere of creativity, extroversion and acceptance emerged.
